Munnar Travels - Monday 16th December 2013

Today we went sightseeing around Munnar. First we took some pictures at a tea plantation. We then drove through the town of Munnar where we went to the Mattupetty Dam to look at the scenery and get some snacks from the nearby shops.

Our driver, Nikhal then dropped us off at Echo point. Echo point is a valley where there is a lake with some paddle boats and lots of tourist stores. The main feature was if you yelled really loud, then you can hear an echo.

Our next stop was a flower garden. In the garden we saw lots of flowers ranging from Marigolds to Pansy's to the classic Rose's.

The last part of our sightseeing around Munnar was the Eravikulam National Park. This park is where people can go in buses to the highest point in Munnar and see some mountain goats. The bad thing was there was a massive queue. After 20 minutes we had gotten about 5 meters, but after 1 hour and 20 minutes we made it to the front.

Waiting in the queue......

So we hopped on the bus and went up to the drop off point. While we were walking up the hill we saw some mountain goats and got some pictures with them.

What does the GOAT say.........

We then walked down after we reached the top. Back at the resort we had dinner at the restaurant. I had the Fish fry which was very nice. We also ordered some vegetable manchurian and some French fries before dinner which was also delicious.
