"D" (departure) Day - Wednesday 11 December 2013

It's finally real.... We are sitting in the departure lounge at Auckland Airport waiting to board our marathon 19hr 35min flight to Dubai, via a short stopover in Sydney.




The kids have got themselves a book each and have started to pass time by reading a few chapters.




It's 17:40pm and time to board our A380 flight, the kids are in heaven as they've just been introduced to the 'ICE' entertainment system and Alisha has already found two horror movies she is going to watch..... Her brother on the other hand has written down all the movies he's going to watch on this long haul trip........




Arrived at Dubai International Airport (it's massive) at 05:45am and headed straight to the Transit Hotel for some shut eye, before our flight to Kochi.
